Paying For an Attorney
Criminal cases are like snowflakes: No two are alike. For this reason, you will not likely find an attorney who posts committed flat legal fees on her website. This website is no exception.
Because attorneys are also like snowflakes, you can find 5 different ones who will provide you with 5 different price quotes. Be aware that finding the best attorney for you involves the use of your best judgment, beyond merely reading a website or advertisement, or selecting the least or most expensive quote you receive.
When you call Wendy for a free initial consultation, most times she can quote you an estimated price for your case the same day, based on the information you are able to provide. In rare cases, she may need to do some research into your case status, which may delay the estimate. Price quotes are based Wendy’s knowledge, skill, experience, and reputation as well as on how much estimated time and legal effort your case will require. In most cases, prospective clients are quoted a flat rate – that is, a legal fee paid up front, which will cover all necessary court appearances, meetings, phone calls, research, writing, filing, negotiating, etc., all the way until a final disposition of your case is reached. The flat rate never includes private investigative work or an appeal, unless specifically arranged.
Wendy does not run credit checks on clients, and therefore does not offer payment plans without a significant down payment. However, she does accept all major credit cards.
